TeenSHARP January 2011 Update

best group shot
First TeenSHARP College Prep Christmas Initiative a huge success!
Thanks to the generous support of many friends of TeenSHARP we were able to meet our goal to provide all of our participants with a gift bag of $50 worth of college preparatory and educational resources. We raised over $1000 to purchase SAT and PSAT prep books, vocabulary flashcards, academic enrichment games, etc and we will be distributing the gifts at our upcoming session this Saturday. We look forward to providing even more children with access to the resources they need for academic success during our 2011 holiday college prep drive.

TeenSHARP hosted a panel of university administrators for a parent workshop

On Saturday, December 11th TeenSHARP conducted a parent workshop on how parents can best prepare their children for college success. We were delighted to have Ms. Betsy Feliciano-Berrios (Assistant Dean of Recruitment and Student Services at Rutgers University-New Brunswick), Mr. Donovan McCargo (Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund program at Rowan University-Camden) and Dr. Deborah Bowles (Associate Chancellor for College Access at Rutgers University-Camden) as our panel guests for the event. Please save the date for our next parent workshop on February 26th at 10am.

TeenSHARP College Tour 2011
